In a number of paintings about time, space and people Robert Sebastian Berger deals with the theme “september 11th”. The results are impressive pieces of art that are exhibited in well-known galeries. The serial “september 11th” consists of eight single paintings. The main group of these paintings is composed of five pieces of art. They portray the youngest, adult victims of the terrorist attack from september 11th. The motives demonstrate an unreal abstraction of the victim’s glances. The combination of portrait and situation lead the observer not only to think about the portraiture, but also to reflect about time, space and life. The artist wants to concentrate on the reflection of the “present time”. In contrast to to the five pieces of the main group the other three paintings
